Create a prototypical day one agenda that you can adjust to fit each new employee’s situation
Continually evaluate and evolve that prototypical agenda as you learn.
Here's one possible prototypical day-one schedule:
Pre-start: Morning coffee with direct supervisor
Opening: Informal gathering with team for meet and greet
A.M: Onboarding conversations
Lunch: With core team
P.M: Nap. Then onboarding conversations and activities that reinforce message.
Close: Debrief with direct supervisor.
