One organization had everyone follow the same orientation, day one and week one plans with an endless parade of people wandering around their offices for meet and greets. Unfortunately, key managers lost interest in saying the same thing over and over again.
Issue
The real issue is that giving a new employee an onboarding plan for them to follow produces compliance at best, with no real sense of ownership.
Suggestion
Our suggestion is for hiring managers and their new employees to co-create Personal Onboarding Plans (POP) together.
