PrimeGenesis was founded in 2003 on the core belief that the first 100 days of a transition is a crucible of leadership and that proactive planning makes all the difference between success and failure.  Generating team alignment, momentum and results during the first 100 days dramatically increases leaders’ and teams’ chances for success in the short and long term.  Over the course of hundreds of engagements around the world, we have been able to reduce new leader failure (per Heidrick, 40% of new leaders fail in the first 18 months) to less than 5% for our clients.

“In response to the growing demand for executive and team onboarding and transition acceleration services globally, we are thrilled to announce the addition of three new partners – Mark Anderson, Tony Botterill and Linda Hlavac – all of whom have extensive experience leading and supporting leaders during critical transitions in diverse environments around the world,” said John Lawler, CEO of PrimeGenesis.

Mark Anderson is a proven operational leader, having worked for Pearson plc for 22 years, most recently as Managing Director UK. Previously, Mark served as Managing Director Europe and Strategy Director International. His educational segment experience includes schools, colleges, higher education, English language learning, and, recently, the start-up Pearson College and the launch of online programmes with King’s College London. Previously, Mark served as Managing Director Asia Pacific for Spalding Evenflo, a US consumer business, and as Operations Director for Patientline, a healthcare technology business in London. Mark’s educational background includes MA University of Cambridge and MBA Ashridge Business School.

Mark is a non-executive director of the tech business Hubbub, an advisory Director to the Dutch tech firm EDIA and incoming Chair of London Metropolitan University. He also sits on the appeal board of the children’s charity Buttle UK, is the author of The Leadership Book (second edition 2013) and is a Cambridge Fellow in Science & Policy.

“Having been a PrimeGenesis client over the course of my career, I have first-hand knowledge of the value of the firm’s methodologies and the commitment of its partners. I am excited about joining the team, working to serve our clients globally and building our business in the UK and Europe,” Mark said.

Tony Botterill partners with executives to help drive change across a range of business sectors, supporting them through high-stakes transitions that result in better leadership, engagement and business performance.  Tony’s unique approach to supporting leaders and teams has been shaped by the challenging lessons he learned during the ‘world’s toughest yacht race’ combined with his experience building high performing commercial teams over the past 2 decades.  Tony specializes in executive leader onboarding, new team start-ups, team integration, and major project performance, leveraging his training in IBM Global Services and dozens of client engagements – including BP, Petrofac, Talisman Sinopec, HBOS, Reuters, Cisco Systems and Lloyds Banking Group. Tony’s educational background includes BSc Brighton University and MSc Physics University of Essex.

According to Tony, “I am excited to be working with PrimeGenesis to help leaders and teams in the UK and Europe deliver better results faster in the current challenging environment.  I was first exposed to the firm’s best in class tools and processes several years ago and am thrilled to be part of such a high calibre team.”

Linda Hlavac is a deeply experienced Human Resources leader supporting executives and teams during transitions across multiple industries and geographies. Linda helps executives improve their personal impact and performance in leading change, developing effective teams and delivering results.  At Catalent Pharma Solutions, she was recruited to the senior leadership team to create a new global HR function for the pre-IPO company. Previously, Linda led and supported significant business transformation through organic and M&A initiatives at LexisNexis, along with global growth, employee and communication programs at Dun & Bradstreet and Westinghouse.  Linda has extensive experience in Americas, Europe and Asia and is a proven mentor and coach for executive leaders. Her educational experience includes BA Susquehanna University and MBA Ohio University.

“As a former buyer and user of PrimeGenesis’ services, I understand the benefits leaders gain as they look to align their teams and generate superior results in a short time frame. I enjoy the work, and, even more so, seeing our client leaders succeed at the top of their organizations”, said Linda.

According to PrimeGenesis’ Chairman and co-founder George Bradt, “We are fortunate to be welcoming Linda, Mark and Tony to the PrimeGenesis team. Like all of our partners, these new leaders will carry on our tradition of productively challenging and supporting our clients and doing anything it takes to ensure their success”.
