Scorecard – Total Onboarding Program Metrics

Have a system to track and measure onboarding progress. Think about looking at dimensions like these (plus many more):

Business Results

  • Change in organization's main goals (such as revenue, profits, balance sheet, customer satisfaction, community impact, etc.)  
  • Increased retention rate of new employees (within first eighteen months or year of employment)  
  • New employee engagement (through something like Gallup's system) 

Process Results      

  • Employee satisfaction with the onboarding process (through survey)
  • Onboarding plans in place on first day  
  • Percentage of new employees with full logistics set up on first day
